the Somers Library Foundation Community Used Book Sale was a great success!
November is traditionally a month to be especially thankful and the members of the Somers Library Foundation are feeling a great deal of gratitude toward our community. So many of you played a significant role in making our long-delayed Community Book Sale the wonderful success that it was. You are just too numerous to mention, but you know who you are.
Whether you donated some of the over 10,000 books we collected, volunteered to help us sort books well before the sale weekend, helped us set up and organize the Program and Reading Rooms for the sale, manned the various stations throughout the busy weekend, came to look through our large collection and shop or helped with the clean up the week after – we are truly appreciative of everything you did.
We all love our library and we worked together to achieve our goal of raising money so that we can make our wonderful library even better. Every book is on its way to a new home whether through the sale or through other local charitable organizations.
We send our heartfelt thanks as well as our best wishes to all the members of our community for a very Happy Thanksgiving.
